Our client, a leader in the design and manufacture of food display ware, working in multiple food sector industries and selling to over sixty countries, has a new vacancy for an Export Sales Director.
You will be responsible the management and expansion of the company’s international network of customers. In addition, you will also be directly managing the Business Development Managers / Account Managers in the Export team.
·Responsible for the overall coordination, the functional management and leadership of all the Export sales activities of the business.
·Responsible for the establishment of both annual and monthly Export sales objectives in coordination with the Company's business plan.
·Responsible for providing an annual Export Sales Plan and providing quarterly updates, revisions and modifications to the plan.
·In coordination with the Managing Director, establishes both market and target customer strategies for the company.
·Accurately forecasting future sales and forming sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace.
·Responsible for the successful management of the needs of the Company's Export/International customers in order to meet the objectives of the company's overall business plans and strategies.
·Manage all the field and in-house sales functions of The Company's facilities.
·The position specifically is responsible for field sales, inside sales and telemarketing, and all customer support functions of the business (Export/International only).
·Define and manage the monthly and annual sales objectives for all the Export sales personnel.
·Spend a significant portion of time in the field both with individual accounts and co-traveling with sales personnel.
·Establish compensation plans for all Export sales personnel including salary structures, commission plans, sales contests and bonus plans.
·Keep up to date with recent market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies.
·Foreseeing and avoiding stagnation in the marketplace.
·Planning and preparing presentations.
·Communicating new product developments to prospective clients and sales team.
·Achieving team targets that have been set.
·Ensuring all sales opportunities are fully captured and explored.
·Displaying excellent leadership skills to your peers.
·Develop new channels of distribution.
·Achieve sales and profit goals.
·Maintain high level of market awareness and strong distributor networks.
·Review and agree account terms.
·Serving as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions.
The ideal candidate will have significant Export / International sales experience, with good knowledge of overseas markets. You will have a managerial background, with the ability to negotiate sales contracts and achiee targets.
You will have excellent communication and presentation skills as negotiations will be required at senior level both internally and externally.
Fluent competence in a second language e.g. (German or Italian) would be an advantage but is not essential.
Candidates must be prepared to travel overseas when required.
Salary:Circa c£70,000(dependent upon experience) plus Bonus/Commission
